LANDSLIDE: QUEROCEP BRIDGE MarilaqueThe one hundred ten kilometre mountain highway known as Marilaque Road is a haven for riders traversing the scenic road of Marikina, Rizal, Laguna and Quezon.
Unfortunately, due Typhoon Nona and Tropical Depression Onyok last December 2015, series of landslides covered the highway that trapped one hundred fifty of the seven hundred families affected in Sitio Querosep, Barangay Magsaysay, Infanta, Quezon. Starting from kilometre ninety seven, there were more than twenty major landslides recorded along the ten kilometre stretch going to the collapsed Querocep Bridge. |

One month after the devastating landslides, roads are still covered with thick layer of soil, rocks and twigs making transportation inaccessible for commerce. Despite being remote, motorcycle riding communities from various cities and provinces have been consistent in delivering temporary help to the community. More so, locals themselves find ways to generate extra income even if they have to cross landslides and walk twice the usual hours spent when roads are still accessible.
